RE: Childcare provision for children of keyworkers
We are currently in the process of arranging childcare for children of keyworkers from Monday 20th April (immediately following the Easter break).
Children will only be permitted to attend if it is impossible for them to stay at home (i.e; both parents will need to be considered keyworkers working away from home to qualify). In order to ensure the safety of our staff and students, we are asking those who require their child/ren to attend to email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following:
- Child/ren’s name/class
- Contact telephone numbers
- Job title for both main parents/carers
- Copy of rota/letter from employer for both parents/carers to evidence their work schedule
This information needs to be submitted by Wednesday 15th April so that we have time to arrange appropriate staffing/support. Anyone who requests a slot after this date may not be accepted.
Note that the government describes keyworkers as “those essential to the running of the justice system, religious staff, charities and workers delivering key frontline services, those responsible for the management of the deceased, and journalists and broadcasters who are providing public service broadcasting.”
Please remember, as per the government’s advice, if you have the ability to keep your children at home, you must do so. This is to limit the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible so that we can have all our students back in the Academy as soon as possible.
