Year R September 2026 Admissions

If your child is starting school in Year R in September 2026, we can’t wait to show you around Oasis Academy Skinner Street! The small group tours, led by a member of our sensational staff team, will provide an opportunity for you to see first-hand our exciting Early Years Provision and amazing academy environment.  

If you would like to join us on any of the dates shown for a tour of the academy, please email office@oasisskinnerstreet.org with your name, telephone number, the name of your child due to start YR in September 2026 plus details of the tour date you would like to attend.

We will then contact your directly to confirm availability and details .

• Thursday 18^th September - Morning

• Thurs 25^th September- 3.30pm 

• Wednesday 1^st  October - Morning 

• Thursday 9^th October- 3.30pm 

If you are applying for a Reception school place for September 2026, you must apply through our Local Authority, Medway Council Admissions. Details of the application process can be found on the Medway Council website - Click here to view and applications close on Monday 15th January 2025.  If you need any help with making an application, we can help you: just email Office@oasisskinnerstreet.org and we will respond.

National Offer Day is Thursday 16 April 2026. 

If your child is due to start Primary school in September 2026, offers made on 16 April 2026 must be accepted or refused by 14 May 2026, and waiting list requests and appeal requests must be submitted by this date.  You can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Thursday 16 April 2026).

Details of the LA arrangements are in the Admission Arrangements,  available from the Academy or from the Medway Local Authority website. The Academy has made every effort to ensure that the policy complies with all relevant legislation on infant class sizes and equal opportunities. The policy also explains how parents/carers can express a preference.
